The Synopsis:

Imagine a future where Aliens have invaded earth in order to harvest the earth’s cocoa beans supply. Imagine that the only hope for humanity lies within a little boy named BoBoiBoy who wields an alien technology that transforms him into an amazing super hero. Join BoBoiBoy and his friends as they go on an adventure and battle against ridiculous aliens who have abnormally square shaped heads and a crazy addiction to cocoa beans. Though they are superheroes, they are still kids who always find a way to have fun and play games whilst upholding justice and doing good.

It was like everything must be Barney from milk bottle, clothes, bags and other merchandise as well. Then Ben 10 has comes to the picture with clothes and school stationery and all. However, it was not as bad as for Transformers with all its goodies and robots collection (and my Boys have it in all sizes from miniature up to 3 feet tall ~ yup believe me!!). Now a new cartoon series opens its window in TV3 since March 2011 and become hit after Ipin&Upin ~ Its called BoboiBoy. My first impression when i watched this cartoon was that..."eh, the style and voice are almost the same like Ipin&Upin lar". Do you want to know why? It is because the same team who were working for Ipin&Upin are making this BoboiBoy cartoon episodes. They are now working as their own team known as Animonsta Studios Sdn Bhd. BoBoiBoy is a television series (26 episodes x 11 minutes) which will later be branched into a full feature film for theatrical release. The show is targeted to Children and Teenagers though written that is suitable for the whole family to watch together. It is a great honor to see our local youngsters have developed one step further in today's challenging world. Because if we go for a family dinner to these kind of Steak Restaurant for 4 pax (2 adults, 2 kids) it will normally cost us RM200++. So we went to this restaurant for our dinner... and it was a second time actually :) We ordered 1 Black Pepper Lamb Steak + 1 Sirloin Steak + 1 China Fried Rice + 2 Mushroom Soups + 1 Garlic Bread + 2 Drinks (Mango Smoothies and Iced Milo). All the above are only cost us RM57. Affordable right??? Much more less than you need to pay for those high rated Steak restaurant. The food portion might be a little bit small to some of you but it is still enough in fulfilling your western temptation. GO and give it a taste!!!

A spirited team of 86 Maybankers from ATM SST, Operations were living the T.I.G.E.R. core values at their inaugural Team Effectiveness Programme at Philea Resort & Spa, Melaka from 18 – 20 November 2011. 

Understanding that a motivated and high performance workforce is essential in Maybank's vision to be a regional financial services leader, the team found time amidst an unrelenting workload to develop increased awareness of team dynamics and learn practical skills for maximising team performance.

On the night of arrival, Maybankers broke the ice with fun activities and formed different teams. In the spirit of friendly competition, each team came up with unique team names, war cries and flags. 

On the second day, staff from all five sections in ATM SST showed their sense of unity and solidarity by dressing in a team t-shirt specially designed for the programme. 

Both indoor and outdoor activities were lined up for the programme, including “Number Punch”, “Paintball”, “Tiger Race" (similar to the Amazing Race), “Drum Circle”, etc.

The activities were aimed at testing the participants' capability to plan and execute in excellence, as well as creating value in the areas of effective communication, planning & coordinating and teamwork enhancement. 

The Drum Circle Session helped participants experience the uplifting power of Team Building Through Rhythm! The steps involved in successfully creating music together as a unified group results in synergy, camaraderie, and increased well-being. As the team begins to play music together a common language emerges and communication improves. Individuals become a team and the team becomes a thriving community. 

On the last day of the programme, all staff were dressed in Maybank 50th Anniversary yellow t-shirt to show their commitment to working for Maybank with a full heart and loyalty. At the end of the program, everyone had an enjoyable and more importantly, meaningful time together. The programme has certainly energised the team with the strength to face any challenges and obstacles at work, able to build greater bonding and engagement among ATM SST staff. 

The outcomes of the programme are as follows: 

• A shared mindset and shared purpose towards achieving the team’s goals. 
• Participant’s immediate reflection and feedback on learning experience and activities. 
• More effective communication using the H.O.T. (Honest, Open, Trusting). 
• A motivated and energized work environment based on the T.I.G.E.R Corporate Core Values. 
• Better team performance and cohesiveness. 
• Participation in work teams and facilitate team cohesion.

Maybank Team Building ~ Day1

ATM SST OPERATIONS: Team Effectiveness Program

Today is the day. All staff from ATM SST Operations, ETS (to be exact there are 86 of us) will be attending a 3Day2Night Team Building: Team Effectiveness Program at Philea Resort & Spa, Ayer Keroh Melaka. 

As for myself, i have been preparing and packing my stuff since the night before. Its been mmmmm let me think.... almost 10 years since my last Team Building Program during my Uni years???? OMG!!!! So excited ME i would say :)

The Preparation...

Friday evening...

The clock shows 3.45pm and bus is ready waiting for us when we are instructed to leave our office (good bye to my fellow colleagues who have to stay as they are working on shift basis). Waiting for everybody to board on the bus before we start our first day journey at exactly 4.15pm. Owhh there are two buses provided and the second bus will take its trip at 5.00pm. Even some of us have opted to drive with their own car and group of course. Whatever it is, all are so looking forward to the program as much as i do. Friday evening... what do you expect from the road traffic?? Haahaha do you get me :) However, don't really feel the slow moving traffic since everybody seems enjoying the trip by chatting... laughing... chatting... laughing... and it keeps continuing on till i am fall asleep (because i had these 2-day-in-a-row migraine huhuuuu). Suddenly i feel the bus has stop at Seremban R&R and me decided to get some water and fruit cutlets to fill up my empty stomach (didn't get to have my lunch earlier). After about 15 minutes, we continue our journey to Philea Resort & Spa, Ayer Keroh Melaka. 

We reached our abode at around 6.45pm. This Philea Resort & Spa is located just next to the Ayer Keroh Tol gate. Turn left after the tol and you'll see the big signboard showing the Resort. The front entrance is sooo nice. Everything are made from wood in such a very nature way. So calming and so green. I loike :P To be different with other Resorts, Philea Resort & Spa has all its room in a two-storey chalet types. It comes with single or twin sharing basis room. They even have a villa type with its very own private pool and jacuzzi (just to bear in mind that this villa is very costly at around RM4300 per night.... dare to reserve?? *wink* hehehee...)

Our Room...

After checking-in and received our room door card, we headed to our room and freshen up before having our dinner at the Ballroom around 8.00pm. Starving already I must say hahaaaa. Only then we realized that the team members from the second bus are yet to arrive. They reached the Resort at about 8.30pm. Must be due to the Friday massive road traffic. Pity them :( and our first activity starts at 9.30pm.

It is all about introduction, group formation, initiating group objective, group flag and of course the "HAKKA" or you may call it "War Cry". The session went on smoothly and very interesting. Class dismissed at 1130pm.
