The Synopsis
Po is now living his dream as The Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, The Furious Five – Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey. But Po’s new life of awesomeness is threatened by the emergence of a formidable villain, who plans to use a secret, unstoppable weapon to conquer China and destroy kung fu.
It is up to Po and The Furious Five to journey across China to face this threat and vanquish it. But how can Po stop a weapon that can stop kung fu?
He must look to his past and uncover the secrets of his mysterious origins;
only then will he be able to unlock the strength he needs to succeed.
Kids have been waiting, asking and pleading to watch the movie every single day. After spending more than a week of school holidays, we finally decided to bring the kids for a movie treat on Wednesday ( one day prior to our trip to Cameron Highland...just can't wait! )
Since we will be going to Cameron Highland on the next day, we just went to the nearest TGV Cinemas available which is at Jusco Bukit Raja, Klang.
By the time we reached there, it was already 2.30pm. So, we went to Nando's to fill up our empty tummies before heading to TGV Cinemas. As usual, kids must have their favourite chicken soup with garlic bread each.
While waiting for our foods to be served...
The show started at 3.30pm. Nice timing when everyone is already stuffed with Nando's :)
My review for the movie:
I think Po is a little bit slimmer compared to the previous movie
(even his dad, the goose man is saying the same...heheee).
Kung Fu Panda 2 expands Po's backstory in a touching, engaging manner.
How did he end up as the son of a goose? What happened to his family?
The notions of adoption, family and friendship are woven in superbly and,
much as in the first film, there are some beautiful life lessons to be found.
Po is struggling to find the "inner peace" that Master Shifu (wonderfully voiced again by Dustin Hoffman) is extolling and he is still prone to insane clumsiness that renders him more of a hazard than not.
I love his quote when Master Shifu had requested him to destroy the undefeatable weapon.
"How can kung fu stop something that stops kung fu?"
cool eh :)
So,
To all Parents out there!!
( those who are yet to bring their kids for this movie )
Go to any cinema today and bring your kids to watch Kung Fu Panda 2
as it will surely worth your money and
more quality times spend with your love ones.
Kids will surely love it as well as parents
( because I love it too! ).
